"Something got into our seed!"

Dad had left out some birdseed on our front porch. Later on when dad went outside there was a hole in the bag and there was seed shells on the porch. We think a squirrel got into it when we were gone.

A Candle Making Shop

Last Saturday we went with some friends to a little candle shop in Tekamah, NE (they also have chocolates, flowers, antiques, and gifts.) They let us decorate some chocolate covered pretzels, and they showed us the molds they use for their chocolates. They also showed us the wax they use for the candles they make. Afterward we spread out blankets and had lunch on the grass.

Mothers Day

I made this flower trivet for my mom for Mothers Day.

Mom and I made whole wheat cranberry buttermilk scones to go with our egg casserole for lunch. We used half spelt flour and half whole wheat flour. My Aunt Patty gave us the whole wheat flour, which she milled at home.
