Pumpkins In Our Compost Pile!



Last fall we put our old rotting pumpkins in our compost pile. Then this spring we noticed some vines growing in our compost pile. We didn't know what it was until dad looked up pictures on the internet of pumpkin vines. Now it is producing dark, green pumpkins! We have two big ones, but there are also a few other small ones.

It has little spinners that grow outward and that attach
to things. So now the vines are not only covering our compost pile, but they are coming out of the fence around it. And the leaves on it are a foot wide! I can't wait till the pumpkins start star turning orange!


Two weeks ago it was only this big.


Now the pumpkin is a little bigger than a cantaloupe.

Fireworks!



Last night my family and I were at my cousins' house watching fireworks. They were very big, pretty, and loud. :)

I am so thankful for the freedom we have in America. Especially the freedom to worship God and to homeschool. God Bless America!
