I'm sorry I haven't posted in a while.  Here are some pictures of the roses Dad gave Mom, Ellen and I for Valentines Day.

A Quote...

''As long as the natural life is in your body, it will do a lot towards repairing that body.  Cut it, and up to a point it will heal, as a dead body would not.  A live body is not one that never gets hurt, but one that can to some extent repair itself.  In the same way a Christian is not a man who never goes wrong, but a man who is enabled to repent and pick himself up and begin over again after each stumble--because the Christ-life is inside him, repairing him all the time, enabling him to repeat (in some degree) the kind of voluntary death which Christ Himself carried out.''
--C.S. Lewis from his book Mere Christianity

Isaiah 6:3 (part b)

I finally learned how to add text onto a picture!  I tried the other day but it didn't work, so Dad found some instructions telling how to do it.  It still took some time, but it worked.  (This picture was taken in July 2011.)  :-)

Sunrise Pictures

"The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of his
hands."
 Ps.19:1

A Poem By Ellen

This poem Ellen wrote and gave to me for Christmas.

                 Cold

I just came in from my morning walk,
I am so cold I can barely talk!

A very cold chill goes up my back
The howling wind does not slack.

Birds

I am so sorry I haven't posted since Thanksgiving!  Now we are over half way through January 2013, but here is a post with some of the birds we've been having at our house. More posts should be coming soon.

Thanksgiving

The Bible has a lot to say about being thankful.  Here are just a few verses that I found:

Psalms 106:1-2
1 Praise the Lord.
 Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
     his love endures forever.
2 Who can proclaim the mighty acts of the
               Lord
     or fully declare his praise?

Colossians 3:15-17
 15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your
hearts, since as members of one body you
were called to peace. And be thankful.  16 Let
the word Christ dwell in you richly as you
teach and admonish one another with all wisdom,
and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual
songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.
17And whatever you do, whether in
word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord
Jesus, giving thanks to God the father through
him.

Colossinas 4:2
  Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful
and thankful.

1Thessalonians 5:16-18
 16 Be joyful always; 17 pray continually;
18 give thanks in all circumstances, for this is
God's will for you in Christ Jesus.

Happy Thanksgiving!
